» Regulatory Affairs » Overview
The Regulatory Affairs service offered by FDII crosses the spectrum of the meat, dairy, consumer foods and drinks industries. </br>
In addition to supplying members with technical and legislative developments both nationally and abroad, the service also operates a 'hotline' for companies with specific queries. The Regulatory & Environment Committee monitors and interprets all national and EU food and drink legislation.
The Committee disseminates information on all legislative and technical issues, which impact on its members. Representation is frequently made to Government Departments and EU institutions both on specific company issues as well as those that affect the entire food and drink industry.
Through its membership of FoodDrinkEurope, FDII is also involved with legislative discussions at an EU level. The Committee also liaises directly with Government agencies such as the Food Safety Authority of Ireland, the Department of Agriculture and Food, the Department of Health and Children etc. to represent the views of industry across a range of issues.
